Comparing apples with apples
Weight Loss Injection Compare exists to answer one question well: of the weight-loss injections you can legally get in the UK, which one — and which provider — makes sense for you?
Why the category needed a proper comparison
Most coverage of weight-loss injections looks at one medicine at a time. That's the wrong unit of comparison. If you're considering treatment, your real decision runs across the whole category: Mounjaro or Wegovy or the Wegovy pill; this provider or that one; the headline starter price or the maintenance cost you'll actually be paying six months in.
So we compare the class, not the brand. Our head-to-head matrix puts efficacy, dosing, side effects and price for all three licensed treatments on one screen, and our price tables track what 24 regulated UK providers charge for each of them — 280 prices in all, re-checked against the providers' own pages.
How we work
- Regulated providers only. Every provider we list is a GPhC-registered pharmacy or a CQC-regulated clinic. We never list unregulated sellers or "compounded" copies — those are dangerous, and we'd rather you didn't buy at all than buy from one.
- Price order is not for sale. Our tables sort by ongoing price, always. No provider can pay for a higher position.
- One labelled recommendation. We do recommend a provider — The Weight Clinic — and we say so plainly, at the top of the table, with the reasons stated. The price-sorted ranking underneath is untouched by that recommendation.
- Evidence over enthusiasm. Efficacy figures come from the medicines' headline trials (SURMOUNT-1, STEP 1, SURMOUNT-5, OASIS 4), reported as averages with their timeframes, not as promises.
What we are not
We're not a pharmacy, a clinic, or a source of medical advice. Mounjaro, Wegovy and the Wegovy pill are prescription-only medicines with real side effects, and a prescriber — not a website — decides whether any of them is right for you. Use us to understand the market; use your GP, pharmacist or a regulated provider's clinician to make the medical decision.
Spotted something wrong?
Prices move, and we'd rather fix an error today than defend it tomorrow. If a figure looks stale or a claim looks off, tell us and we'll check it against the provider's page.
