Weight-loss injection prices compared across 24 UK providers

Ask five UK pharmacies for a weight loss injection price and you'll get five different answers — for exactly the same licensed medicine at exactly the same dose. We track 24 regulated online providers, and the gap between the cheapest and the dearest sits between £70 and £90 per four-week supply at every dose of Mounjaro and Wegovy we monitor. Over a full year, choosing badly can add up to a four-figure difference.

Below are the benchmarks: what each dose costs in mid-2026, why the spread exists, and the extras that change the real total. Every figure comes from our provider dataset, last checked on 4 July 2026.

"Mid-market" below is the median of the 24 list prices we track — half charge more, half less. All prices are per four-week supply.

All listed providers are GPhC- or CQC-regulated. Prices move frequently — confirm the current figure on the provider's own site before ordering. This is price information, not an offer to supply medicine.

Two patterns are worth noticing. First, Wegovy opens cheaper, and full-dose Wegovy (£174.99–£249) still undercuts maximum-dose Mounjaro (£288.99–£359) — but the two medicines behave differently and averaged different trial results, so price alone shouldn't settle that choice. Second, the spread barely shrinks as doses climb: roughly £70–£90 per four weeks separates cheapest from dearest at every dose — so it pays to compare before your first order, not after your sixth.

Why the same dose costs £70–£90 more at one provider than another

It isn't the medicine. Every provider in our table dispenses the same licensed UK product through a GPhC-registered pharmacy or CQC-regulated clinic. What you're really pricing is the service wrapped around the pen.

At the lean end, providers such as Click2Pharmacy, Chemist4U and ASDA Online Doctor run a straightforward model: online consultation, clinical checks, dispatch. At the premium end, the higher prices generally buy a programme — Second Nature's £229 starter month includes a personal health coach and app, Numan runs a subscription plan, and Juniper bundles app tracking with prescriber access. That support has genuine value for some people and none for others, which is why our five-question choosing framework asks how much hand-holding you actually want before it asks about price.

First-month discounts are real — but read the ongoing price

More than half of our 24 providers publish some form of first-order discount, and a few are substantial. On Wegovy's 0.25 mg starter dose, MedExpress and ZAVA both drop to £59.99 for the first month, Oxford Online Pharmacy to £68.96 and Voy to £69. On Mounjaro 2.5 mg, Chemist4U's first month is £122, Pharmacy2U's £124.99 and The Weight Clinic's £125.

The catch is what happens in month two. Voy's £69 Wegovy offer is the deepest cut in our dataset, but its ongoing price is £144 — towards the top of the range — while Boots Online Doctor charges £79.97 every single month with no code at all. Our rule: rank providers by their ongoing price first, then let a genuine first-month code break ties.

The real cost is the ladder, not the first pen

Both medicines are titrated upwards — you start low and step up every few weeks as your body adjusts — so your monthly bill rises through the first months of treatment. Adding up each provider's first three Mounjaro doses (2.5, 5 and 7.5 mg, using published first-month offers where they exist), the cheapest route through our table costs about £543 and the dearest about £767. That's over £220 apart before you reach a maintenance dose.

Three smaller line items are worth checking too:

• Delivery. Many providers include free cold-chain delivery; others charge £2.90–£5.95 on every monthly reorder.
• Consumables and extras. Needles are included at some providers (LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor and The Weight Clinic among them) and sold separately at others; myBMI builds anti-nausea medication into its package — relevant reading if you're weighing up how the side-effect profiles compare.
• What happens if you're declined. All 24 providers offer a free consultation, but policies differ if the prescriber says no. LloydsPharmacy and Superdrug only take payment if you're prescribed; The Weight Clinic refunds you if declined.

How to use these numbers

1. Choose the medicine first, the pharmacy second. A cheap price on the wrong treatment is no bargain.
2. Compare at your likely maintenance dose — the starter-dose price you see advertised is the one you'll pay for the shortest time.
3. Judge providers on month-two pricing, and treat welcome codes as a tiebreaker.
4. Price the whole service: delivery, needles, clinical follow-up and decline policies all move the true total.
5. Stay inside regulation. Every provider we list is GPhC- or CQC-regulated. Social-media sellers and "compounded" copies of these medicines are unlicensed in the UK — no saving justifies them.
